Set-Up Crew

The primary responsibility for the Set-Up Crew is to work with the Office of Pryzbyla Management staff to prepare the Pryzbyla Center and occasionally other areas of campus for special events and meetings by appropriately arranging furniture, staging, tables, etc.


Set-Up Crew has the following responsibilities:

  • Work to ensure event/room set-ups are completed accurately, safely and efficiently
  • Inspect the facility and report any maintenance or housekeeping concerns to Pryzbyla Management staff
  • Operate the Pryzbyla Management vans as needed, which requires the completion of the Van Certification Program
  • Update and maintain posting areas in the Pryzbyla Center and campus public spaces
  • Post directional signs to the Pryzbyla Center as needed and assigned by Pryzbyla Management staff
  • Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings, workshops and training sessions
  • Participate in annual activities of the Pryzbyla Center and The Catholic University of America including but not limited to orientation, homecoming, and commencement
  • Follow policies and procedures as found in the Pryzbyla Management Student Staff Handbook and policies of The Catholic University of America.
  • Represent the Office of Pryzbyla Management to clients, the CUA community, customers and visitors to CUA
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Pryzbyla Management staff

Physical Requirements

The position requires the movement of furniture and AV equipment. This includes lifting, pushing and pulling equipment, the ability to maneuver stairs, the ability to carry up to 50 lbs. of weight, and the ability to skillfully use a hand truck.


This position reports to the Operations Coordinator.

Additional Requirements

Must maintain at minimum a 2.0 GPA during the term of employment.
